Carolyn, along with her husband, Tom, started Ripple in their home in 2006, moving to Allentown in 2009. She holds a Certificate in Spiritual Direction and earned a Certificate in Ministry Studies from Eastern Mennonite Seminary in April 2015. She also has a M.Ed. (1987) from Lehigh University and a B. S. in Biology/ Natural Science (1983) from Muhlenberg College. Along with the other Ripple pastors, she has studied Restorative Practices at the International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP) in Bethlehem, PA.

As a pastor, Carolyn enjoys designing interactive worship experiences for adults and children, spiritual direction, and playing the piano. Recently, she is learning to play the flute. She was licensed in 2014, and looks forward to ordination in 2016. She is on the board of directors of Ripple Community Inc. Carolyn is also a 4th grade teacher in Northampton Area School District (Lehigh Elementary), and she enjoys running, cycling, reading, sewing/quilting, and sharing meals with friends. Tom and Carolyn have 2 grown children, and have been married for 31 years. A family slogan that informs their living is, “It’s all part of the experience!”
